A Trooper with the Idaho State Police arrested a woman following a traffic stop Wednesday after a drug detection K9 helped locate meth and fentanyl.

The Trooper made the stop at 3:35 p.m. on Interstate 15 just north of Idaho Falls when he saw the driver of a Jeep speeding in the northbound lanes. A K9 unit from the Bonneville County Sheriff's Office also responded. During an open air search around the vehicle, the K9 alerted to the possible presence of illegal drugs. During a search of the vehicle, the Trooper found the driver to be in possession of approximately 1.4 pounds of a white crystal substance that tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine, and approximately 100 pills believed to be fentanyl.

Troopers arrested the female driver and booked her into the Bonneville County Jail on the following charges.
