Arrests in Shoshone County connected to Methamphetamine Delivery

A Smelterville woman was arrested and four others have been charged in connection with an ongoing investigation into the delivery of methamphetamine in Shoshone County.

On Thursday, October 14, 2021, a search warrant was executed on a home in Smelterville in Shoshone County. The warrant was the result of an investigation conducted by the Shoshone County Sheriff's Office and the Idaho State Police. Assisting with the warrant service were members of the Idaho State Police and Kootenai County SWAT teams and deputies from the Shoshone County Sheriff's Office.

The investigation resulted in the arrest of the resident of the home. She was booked into the Shoshone County Jail on felony drug delivery charges.

Arrested: Adella Dotson, 46, Smelterville, ID
Charged: Delivery of a Controlled Substance - Methamphetamine (F)
Possession of drug paraphernalia (m)

Four people who were at the residence on October 14, 2021, were also arrested and booked into the Shoshone County Jail. All four are charged with Frequenting a Place Where Controlled Substances are Located, a misdemeanor.
All are residents of Shoshone County.

In addition to evidence connected to the above charges, property items identified as stolen were also found during the search. This investigation remains under investigation by detectives with the Idaho State Police and the Shoshone County Sheriff's Office. Additional charges are possible.
