On September 5, 2021 at 5:29 P.M. Idaho State Police investigated a fatality crash on Interstate 84 at milepost 14.4, just east of Payette.

Katheryn E. Laframboise, 67, of Nampa, was driving eastbound in a 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. Christopher D. Snyder, 52, of Pensacola, Florida, was driving westbound in a 2019 Cascadia 126 Freightliner.

Laframboise crossed through the median and into the westbound lanes hitting Snyder head on.
Snyder was transported by ground ambulance.

Laframboise succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Next of kin has been notified.

Both occupants were wearing seatbelts.

This remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
