On September 5, 2021, at approximately 12:59 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a motorcycle crash on Twin Creek Rd. off of River Rd. approximately 4 miles southeast of Clarkfork, in Bonner County.

James A. Peters, 38, of Post Falls, ID, and his passenger Chelsea N. Larson, 28, of Coeur d Alene, ID, were traveling on Twin Creek Rd. on a blue 2021 Yamaha YZ450 motorcycle. Peters was traveling on a dirt road when he lost control and went off the left hand shoulder. Peters was not wearing a helmet and succumbed to his injures on scene. Larson was wearing a helmet and was transported to the hospital.

Next of kin has been notified and investigation is ongoing.
