The pedestrian who was in the roadway when he was struck and killed on I-84 this morning is believed to be a man in his 30's with no current permanent address.
The collision occurred in the pre-dawn hours in the westbound lanes through Caldwell.
The driver of the vehicle involved was not injured.
This crash remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.

On Friday, May 14, 2021, around 5:30 a.m., Idaho State Police investigated a fatal crash on Interstate 84 near milepost 26, in Caldwell.

A 2017 Freightliner Cascadia was traveling westbound on Interstate 84 near mile marker 26 when he struck a pedestrian walking in the roadway. The pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash.

This crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.
