The driver of the ATV, Joshua D. Edelblute, 31, of Rathdrum, ID succumbed to his injuries on March 17, 2021 at 5:59pm. Please note the correct direction of travel was southbound on State Street in Rathdrum, Idaho.

On March 13, 2021, at approximately 1:06 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a single-vehicle ATV injury crash on State Street in Rathdrum, ID. This is located in Kootenai County.

Joshua D. Edelblute, 31, of Rathdrum, ID, was traveling westbound on State Street at Roth Court on his 2016 Red Alterra ATV. Edelblute lost control, rolled the ATV on the roadway, and was ejected from riding on the side of the ATV. The ATV came to rest on its tires.

Edelblute was transported by ground ambulance to Kootenai Health in Coeur d Alene, ID. He was not wearing safety equipment.

This investigation is ongoing.
