An Idaho State Police Trooper responded to a citizen's call about a vehicle speeding and driving dangerously on eastbound I-84 near the Flying Wye at Approximately 1:31 p.m. The Trooper located the vehicle, a 2001 blue Infiniti, and witnessed the driver make an unsafe lane change. When the Trooper activated his emergency lights and attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver failed to stop. Initially, the Trooper pursued the vehicle, but due to the amount of traffic, soon discontinued the pursuit.

A short time later, a second Trooper further east spotted the suspect still driving in an unsafe manner and putting the public at risk. Traffic was lighter and the Trooper reinitiated the pursuit on I-84 and Eisenman Road. The suspect vehicle did finally come to a stop on South Desert Wind Road and Indian Creek Road off the Interstate at Exit 71. Troopers took the suspect into custody without incident.

Arrested: Kalebh P. Arehart-Meaney, 26, Meridian

Charged: Eluding a Peace Officer (F) x2
Possession of marijuana (m) x2
Possession of drug paraphernalia (m)

Troopers booked the suspect into the Ada County Jail on the above charges.
