On March 6, 2021, at approximately 2:35 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a single-vehicle fatal crash on eastbound State Highway 6 at milepost 101. This is approximately 7 miles west of Potlatch in Latah County, ID.

Kurt A. Brantner, 56, of Palouse, WA, was traveling westbound on State Highway 6 in a 2016 Jeep Wrangler. Upon passing a vehicle, Brantner lost control on the right shoulder, crossed the center line, and his vehicle rolled.

Brantner was pronounced deceased at the scene. Next of kin have been notified. Brantner was not wearing a seatbelt.
