On Sunday, December 13, 2020, at 6:36 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a fatality crash westbound on SH19 at mile marker 17, west of Caldwell.

Santiago Rodriguez Reyna, 62, of Marsing, was traveling westbound in a 1995 Ford Ranger. Rodriguez Reyna lost control on the icy road surface, drove off the right shoulder, and rolled into a drainage.

Rodriguez Reyna was transported by ground ambulance to West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell where he succumbed to his injuries.

This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
