On Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at approximately 10:45 a.m., Idaho State Police investigated a single-vehicle, fatality crash northbound on SH55 at milepost 151, five miles east of New Meadows.

Cody Garrett, 35, of Wilder, was northbound on SH55 in a Kenworth semi pulling a logging trailer. The Kenworth crossed left of the center line and rolled over. It came to rest partially blocking the southbound lane.

Garrett succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash. Next of kin has been notified. All lanes of travel were blocked for approximately four hours. One lane of travel is open at this time.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
