On August 15, 2020 at approximately 2 pm, the Idaho State Police responded to an injury crash on US12 at milepost 16, just east of Lewiston. Michael Victorino, 56, of Ponderay, ID, was traveling eastbound on US12 on a red 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle. Victorino lost control and was thrown off the motorcycle. Victorino was transported by air ambulance to the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston. He was not wearing a helmet. The Idaho State Police is currently investigating this incident.
