On Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at 1:56 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a fatality crash eastbound on SH50 at mile marker 3.8, north of Kimberly.

A juvenile driving a 1974 Grain Hauler was driving eastbound on SH50. Karissa L. Taylor, 22, of Kimberly was driving westbound on SH50 in a 2004 GMC Yukon. The juvenile crossed the center line and struck the GMC Yukon head on.

The juvenile was transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke's Magic Valley in Twin Falls. Taylor succumbed to her injures on scene. Neither driver was wearing a seatbelt. Next of kin has been notified.

Idaho State Police was assisted at the scene by the Idaho Transportation Department, Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office, Jerome County Sheriff's Office, Kimberly Police Department, Rock Creek Fire Department, and Magic Valley EMS.

Both lanes of travel were blocked for approximately three and a half hours.

At this time the Idaho State Police are investigating a crash on SH50 at mile marker 4, the Hansen Bridge. Currently all lanes, north and southbound are blocked and traffic is not able to get across the bridge.
