On July 31st, 2020, at approximately 10:20 pm, the Idaho State Police investigated a fatal crash that occurred in the 5700 block of Lakeshore Drive near Dover. Frythe Peine, 47 years old of Sagle, ID, and Kraige Peine, 41 years old of Sagle, ID, were travelling westbound on Lakeshore Drive in a silver 2012 Mercedes Benz SUV when they got in a verbal disagreement. Kraig exited the vehicle and was continuing on foot while Frythe continued westbound. Shortly after continuing on Frythe turned the vehicle around to go back to Kraig to pick him up. Frythe did not see Kraig in the roadway and struck him. Kraig was pronounced deceased at the scene. Next of kin has been notified. Alcohol is being investigated as a factor. The investigation is ongoing.
