On Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at 1:09 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle crash westbound Interstate 84 at milepost 47.5, near the Cloverdale Overpass in Boise.

Narit Trairatnobhas, 32, of Boise, was driving westbound on Interstate 84 in a 2020 Ford Ranger pickup. Roy Stump, 39, of Caldwell, was driving behind the Ford pickup in a 2006 Toyota Camry. Traffic slowed and Stump struck the pickup from behind. Trairatnobhas was transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke's Meridian Medical Center in Meridian.

The two right lanes of westbound Interstate 84 were blocked for 50 minutes while crews worked to clear the scene. Trairatnobhas and Stump were both wearing seatbelts.
