On May 10, 2020, at approximately 3:14 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a single-vehicle injury crash on westbound Interstate 84 near milepost 66, east of Boise.

Eathon Wesen, 39, of Chehalis, WA, was driving westbound on Interstate 84 in a 2003 Ford Explorer. Wesen drove off the left shoulder, overcorrected, re-entered Interstate 84 where the vehicle rolled, and came to rest on the right shoulder. Passenger Brayden Binkley, 19, of Centralia, WA, was ejected from the vehicle. Wesen was wearing a seat belt, Brayden Binkley was not.

Brayden Binkley was transported by air ambulance to Saint Alphonsus in Boise. Wesen's other passengers, Chloe Sproles, 19, of Blackfoot, ID, and Brittnay Binkley, 30, of Centralia, WA, were both transported by ground ambulance to Saint Alphonsus in Boise.

Westbound Interstate 84 was blocked for approximately two and a half hours.
