On Thursday, May 7th, 2020, at approximately 3:46 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle fatality crash that occurred in the intersection of 2400 N and 2700 E, east of Hollister, in Twin Falls County, Idaho.

Maria Maya Rosas, 34, of Twin Falls, was driving eastbound on 2400 N in a 2006 Dodge Caravan with passenger Joel Sierra Garcia, 30, of Twin Falls, and 2 juvenile passengers. Eduardo Garnica, 34, of Paul, was driving southbound on 2700 E in a 1990 Kenworth straight truck loaded with agricultural materials. The vehicles collided in the intersection, with the front of the Kenworth striking the driver side of the Dodge. Both vehicles came to rest off of the roadway at the southeast corner of the intersection.

Rosas, Garcia, and one juvenile passenger were transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke's Magic Valley. The other juvenile succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the crash. Next of kin has been notified. The roadway was blocked for approximately 4 hours.

Idaho State Police was assisted by Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office, Magic Valley Paramedics, Salmon Tract Fire Department, and Filer QRU.

This crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.

Idaho State Police is on scene of a crash at E 2400 N and N 2700 E, just east of Hollister in Twin Falls County. The intersection is completely blocked at this time. Expect traffic delays in the area.
