On March 27, 2020 at approximately 10:26 a.m. the Idaho State Police responded to an injury crash that occurred northbound Us 95 at milepost 460.5, in Cocolalla. A red 2004 Hyundai Elantra driven by Jason R Lenhart, 22, of Burt, Michigan was traveling northbound when he drove left of center striking a 2005 Freightliner that was traveling southbound driven by Todd W. Shaffer, 52, of Rathdrum, Idaho. A grey 2017 GMC Yukon driven by Sarah C. Wagner, 23, of Couer D Alene, Idaho was also travelling southbound and was struck by debris. Mr. Lenhart was transported by Lifeflight to Kootenai Medical Center, the other drivers were uninjured. Mr. Shaffer and Ms. Wagner were both wearing their seatbelts, it is unknown if Mr. Lenhart was wearing his seatbelt. The southbound lane was blocked for approximately an hour and a half. The investigation continues.
