On March 8th, 2020 at 01:18 am, the Idaho State Police responded to an injury hit and run crash on State Highway 57 at milepost 1.6 just north of Priest River, Idaho. A male pedestrian was discovered in the ditch near milepost 1.6 by a passing Idaho Transportation Department employee. The male was transported to Newport Community Hospital by ambulance and then to Sacred Heart hospital in Spokane. At this time the male pedestrian has not been identified. He was struck by a silver vehicle, possibly a Toyota make pickup. The vehicle possibly has damage to the front driver?s side. Any witnesses or anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact Trooper Noah with the Idaho State Police.
