On January 13, 2020 at approximately 12:09 pm, a fatal crash occurred westbound I90 at milepost 8.9, west of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. A red and white 1987 Chevy S10 pickup, driven by Joshua C Brown, 38, of Rathdrum, Idaho was travelling westbound when he stopped his truck on the side of the roadway. For unknown reasons, Brown exited his vehicle and attempted to cross the roadway when he was struck by a 2013 Peterbilt Tractor Car-Hauler semi being driven by Michael B Johnson, 64, of Clarkridge, Arkansas. He came to rest on the right shoulder where he succumbed to his injuries. The right lane was blocked for two hours. Next of kin has been notified. The investigation continues.
