On September 21, 2019, at approximately 9:01 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle injury crash on westbound Interstate 84 at milepost 58.5, in Boise, ID.

David Furia, 26, of Idaho Falls, was riding westbound on a 2019 Harley Davidson motorcycle. Furia crashed his motorcycle in the left lane of travel where it became disabled. Brett Rodgers, 25, of Boise, was driving westbound in a 2003 Kia Spectra. The Kia Spectra collided with the rear of the Harley Davidson. The Harley Davidson came to rest in the right lane of travel and the Kia Spectra came to rest in the median. Furia was wearing a helmet.

Furia was transported by ground ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

Rodgers was transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke's Boise Medical Center in Boise.

Westbound traffic was blocked for approximately one hour and thirty minutes.
