On Sunday, July 7, 2019, at approximately 5:02 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle injury crash on State Highway 19 at milepost 19 in Caldwell, Idaho.

Marisela M. Camarillo, 29, of Nyssa, Oregon, was driving eastbound on State Highway 19 in a 2003 Saturn 200. Trevor J. Scherer, 23, of Caldwell, Idaho, and his passenger Whitney A. Newsom, 29, of Caldwell, Idaho, were riding westbound on Simplot Blvd on a 1992 Harley Davidson Classic motorcycle. Camarillo attempted to make a left-hand turn, but failed to yield to oncoming traffic and was struck by the Harley Davidson. Scherer and Newsom were not wearing helmets. Camarillo was wearing a seatbelt.

Scherer and Newsom were transported by ground ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho.

All lanes were blocked for approximately two hours and forty minutes.
