On February 27, 2019, at 07:39 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a three-vehicle, fatality crash, southbound US95 at milepost 74.8 near Weiser, Idaho.

Marriah B. Petersen, 38, of Emmett, was driving northbound in a 2002 Dodge pickup. Mary E. Nobbs, 37, of Weiser, was driving southbound in a 2012 Toyota Yaris. Samantha A. Myers, 26, of Weiser, was driving southbound in a 2011 Chevy Impala behind Nobbs. Petersen failed to maintain control, crossed the center line and struck both Nobbs and Myers' vehicles. Myers and Nobbs were wearing seatbelts. Petersen was not wearing a seatbelt.

Myers and Petersen were transported by ground ambulance to Weiser Memorial Hospital. Nobbs succumbed to her injuries on scene. Next of kin has been notified.

The lanes were blocked for 3 hours.

Idaho State Police is currently investigating a crash at the intersection of US95 and Cahill Ln in Washington County, just south of Weiser. Anyone who witnessed the crash or has any information is asked to call the Idaho State Police Regional Communications Center at (208) 846-7550.
