On October 6th, 2018, at 06:21 am, the Idaho State Police responded to a semi truck crash on I90 at milepost 62, near Wallace, Idaho. Terry Rinkes, 56, of John Day, Oregon, was traveling eastbound in a 2017 International Tractor, pulling a utility trailer when he fell asleep behind the wheel and struck the center barrier. The impact displaced the center divider into the westbound lanes.
