On Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at approximately 6:14 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle, injury crash northbound I15 at milepost 81, one mile north of Fort Hall.

Joseph Scholz, 66, of Shoshoni, Wyoming, was northbound on I15 in a 2000 Kenworth semi pulling a single flatbed trailer. Ashlie Ray, 22, of Pocatello, was behind the semi in a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Jeep struck the Kenworth from behind. The Jeep came to rest off the left shoulder and the Kenworth came to rest off the right shoulder. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts. Ray was transported to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello by ground ambulance.

The crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.
