*Update*

On Monday, June 4, 2018, at approximately 2:16 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle, fatality crash, northbound State Highway 55 near milepost 155, south of New Meadows.

Bruce Haynes, 28, of New Meadows, was traveling northbound on Walker Lane in a 1971 Ford pickup. Eric Fuller, 43, of Sweet, was traveling northbound on SH55 in a loaded logging truck. Haynes approached the intersection and failed to yield at a stop sign and entered the intersection. The vehicles collided, and the pickup went off the road and rolled. Both Haynes and his passenger, Alicia Lamere, 25, of New Meadows, were ejected. They were not wearing seat belts.

Haynes was transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke's McCall Medical Center. Lamere succumbed to her injuries on scene. Next of kin has been notified. Fuller was wearing his seatbelt and was not transported.

The northbound lane of travel was blocked for approximately four hours while crews investigated.

Idaho State Police is currently on scene of a crash State Highway 55 at milepost 155, east of New Meadows. The Northbound lanes are blocked at this time. More information will be released when it becomes available.
