On Saturday, May 12th, 2018, at approximately 12:51 p.m. the Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle injury crash at Homedale Road and Plum Road in Caldwell.

Joel Eells, 21, of Caldwell, was driving a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle northbound on a ditch bank to the south of Plum Road. Michael Case, 22, of Nampa, was driving a 2007 Ford Focus eastbound on Homedale Road. Eells failed to yield at the intersection of Homedale Road and Plum Road and was struck by the Ford Focus. All occupants of the Ford Focus were wearing a seatbelt. Eells was not wearing a helmet.

Eells was transported by air ambulance to St. Alphonsus Medical Center in Boise. Michael Case, Jessica Case, 20, of Nampa, and a juvenile passenger were all transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus in Nampa.

The roads were blocked for approximately 2 hours. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
