Fatal Crash On US30 In New Plymouth

On Thursday, May 24, 2018, at 3:03 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a fatality crash eastbound on US30 near Ada Road, in New Plymouth.

Humberto Perez Hernandez, 24, of Emmett, was driving eastbound on US30 in a 2004 Buick Rendezvous. Hoby L. Crump, 56, of New Plymouth, was turning westbound onto US30 from Ada Road driving a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle.

The two vehicles collided head-on near the intersection. Crump succumbed to his injuries at scene. Next of Kin has been notified. Crump was wearing a helmet and Perez Hernandez was wearing a seatbelt.

Both eastbound and westbound lanes of US30 were blocked for approximately 2.5 hours.

This crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.
