On Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at approximately 2:48 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a single-vehicle, fatality crash eastbound SH24 at milepost 33, near Minidoka.

Alan M. Kime, 56, of Gooding, was driving westbound in a 2004 Ford truck. The vehicle veered off the shoulder of the westbound side, overcorrected, and crossed both lanes of travel. The vehicle overturned and came to rest on the eastbound shoulder. Kime was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. Kime succumbed to his injuries on scene. Next of kin has been notified.

Both lanes of travel were blocked for approximately 3 hours. Lanes are back open.
