News release - Idaho State Police District 4 asks that you please make a plan and "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over."

Idaho State Police District 4 Troopers, headquartered in Jerome, are joining forces with local agencies this upcoming St. Patrick's Day weekend and conducting a Driving Under the Influence mobilization. ISP will be working closely with our Law Enforcement partners in hopes that everyone has a safe weekend and will be focusing on Impaired Driver apprehension. We encourage everyone to plan ahead and not drive if they have been drinking or under the influence of other intoxicating substances (prescribed or illegal). This plan should include transportation to get yourself and everyone with you home safely. Please utilize taxis, Uber, or sober friends/family to accomplish this. The cost of a ride home is so much cheaper than a ride with us, your life, or the life of an innocent person. So make a plan each and every time to get home safe, because once we meet it's too late!

This mobilization is sponsored by the Office of Highway Safety through the Idaho Department of Transportation and provides overtime opportunities for law enforcement agencies around the State of Idaho to focus on impaired driving. This OHS mobilization will allow ISP to put more troopers on the road to locate, arrest and convict the impaired driver. This mobilization will run from March 11th, 2018 to March 20th, 2018.
