**UPDATE No. 3** Fatal Crash on US95 in Fruitland

This release contains the names of one deceased victim and the suspect.

Deceased victim: Matthew A. Parkinson, 22, of Kuna, Idaho.
Deceased victim: Female juvenile; name withheld.
Autopsies were performed today at the Ada County Coroner's Office, with the Payette County coroner in attendance.

Suspect: Jason L. Verwer, 37, most recently residing in Fruitland, Idaho. Suspect is in custody and being held for a mental health evaluation at an undisclosed location.

The incident remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.

On Jan. 24, 2018 (afternoon - approx. 3 p.m.) a vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on US-95 near milepost 64 in Fruitland when the vehicle suddenly veered off the roadway and onto the northbound sidewalk. The vehicle struck and killed two pedestrians. A suspect is in custody. ISP is investigating this incident as a homicide. Idaho State Police is investigating a fatal crash on US-95 near milepost 64 in Fruitland, ID. Lanes are blocked from milepost 64 to milepost 64.3. Traffic is being re-routed.
