Update

On Friday, November 3, 2017 at approximately 11:53 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a single-vehicle crash westbound SH78 at milepost 23, in Owyhee county.

Glen T. Welch, 72, of Caldwell, was driving a 2018 Freightliner Tractor pulling a trailer filled with sugar beets. The vehicle veered into the shoulder, overcorrected, and rolled onto its side where it came to rest across both lanes of travel. Welch was wearing a seatbelt.

The lanes were blocked for approximately 4 hours.

Idaho State Police is responding to a crash westbound State Highway 78 at milepost 23, north of Murphy, ID. The highway is completely blocked.
