The correct mile marker for this crash was 12, not 13.

On Thursday, September 21, 2017, at 3:41 pm, Idaho State Police investigated a fatality crash eastbound on I84 at mile marker 12, west of Black Canyon.

William R. Dudley, 59, of Middleton, was driving eastbound on I84 in a 2000 Chevrolet C1500. Dudley drove off the right shoulder, over corrected, came back on the roadway, and rolled. The pickup came to rest in the median.

Dudley succumbed to his injuries on scene. He was wearing his seatbelt.

Both eastbound and westbound lanes were partially blocked for approximately one and a half hours.
