On August 17, 2017, at approximately 12:51 a.m., Idaho State police investigated a vehicle versus pedestrian fatality crash on northbound Interstate 15 at milepost 117,in Idaho Falls.

Alexis A. Fehringer, 41, of Idaho Falls, was laying in the lane of travel where she was struck by multiple vehicles. Fehringer succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the crash. Next of kin has been notified.

One vehicle returned to the scene of the incident. Idaho State Police is requesting information regarding any other involved vehicle(s) or unusual events. Any tips can be reported by calling the ISP District 6 office at (208)525-7377.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
