On November 16, 2016, at approximately 3:52 P.M., Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle, injury-crash on eastbound I184 at milepost 2, near the Curtis exit.

Dustin Black, 41, of Meridian, was driving eastbound in a 2005 Ford Ranger. Black failed to yield for slowing traffic and swerved to the left to avoid a collision. Black instead hit the median barrier, bounced off, and struck a 2000 Lincoln Navigator. The Navigator was driven by Jesus Herrera Rivera, 46, of Boise. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.

The left two lanes of eastbound I184 were blocked for approximately 20 minutes.
