On July 16, 2016 at approximately 6:01 a.m., a single vehicle fatality crash occurred on southbound Interstate 15 at milepost 95 near Blackfoot.

A 1996 Chrysler Town and Country driven by Adam Wise, 32, of Idaho Falls, was southbound when he went off the right shoulder. The vehicle struck the guardrail and continued for a short time off the right shoulder and struck the overpass abutment and came to rest. Wise was not wearing a seat belt and succumbed to his injuries on scene.

Partial lanes were blocked for approximately three hours. Next of kin has been notified.

Idaho State Police and Bingham County Sheriff's deputies are currently on scene of a one-vehicle crash in the southbound lanes of Interstate 15 at milepost 94, just north of Blackfoot.

The right lane of travel is currently blocked by emergency vehicles. Drivers should use caution when traveling through the area.
