On Monday, July 4, 2016 at approximately 7:06 a.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle injury crash on State Highway 75 at milepost 121, near Hailey. George Daves, 73, of Potomac, Maryland, was headed northbound in a 2016 Toyota Camry. Michael Timmerman, 37, of Corvallis, Oregon, was behind in a 2015 Toyota Corolla.

Daves was attempting to make a left hand turn into a driveway, when Timmerman rear ended Daves' vehicle. Timmerman's vehicle rolled and came to rest in the northbound lanes. The northbound lanes of travel were blocked for approximately two hours while crews worked to clean up the scene.

Both drivers were transported by ground ambulance to St Luke's Wood River. They both were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
