On Friday, April 15, 2016, at approximately 7:41 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle, injury crash at the intersection of US-30 and Adell Street in Filer.

Mariah Miller, 23, of Filer, was eastbound on US-30 in a 1987 Ford Mustang. Van Wiebe, 30, of Filer, was westbound on US-30 in a 2015 Ram pickup. Miller attempted a left-hand turn into a gas station, and struck the front of the Ram in the westbound lanes. Both vehicles came to rest out of the lanes of travel.

Wiebe was wearing his seatbelt. Miller was not wearing her seatbelt, and was transported to St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center by ground ambulance. One of the westbound lanes of US-30 was blocked by emergency vehicles for approximately thirty minutes.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
