Update** Crash blocking highway 30 in Kimberly

The highway is now clear.

On Friday, January 22, 2016, at approximately 9:30 a.m. Idaho state police investigated a single vehicle property damage crash involving a power pole on highway 30 near Ash Street North in Kimberly.

Kaiokiakaika Correa, 34, of Twin Falls, was driving a 2005 Peterbilt commercial vehicle, dropping off a container. The mast was up on the vehicle and caught on some power cables above the roadway as it moved forward. The power pole was pulled down, blocking both directions on highway 30. The road was blocked for approximately 2 hours and fifteen minutes while crews worked to clear the scene.

No one was injured in the crash.

At this time, Idaho State Police is on scene of a crash involving a downed power pole on highway 30 near Ash Street North in Kimberly. Both lanes of travel are currently being blocked until work crews can clear the scene.

Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area if possible.
