On Wednesday, September 30, 2015, the Idaho State Police investigated a one vehicle semi crash on State Highway 33, near milepost 13, south of Howe.

Michael D. Swope, 29, of Tacoma, WA, was driving westbound on State Highway 33 in a 2005 Peterbilt tractor pulling a flatbed trailer, loaded with lumber. Swope failed to negotiate a curve, flipping the trailer on its top and the cab on its side, losing its load of lumber.

Swope was wearing a seatbelt. The roadway was blocked for approximately two hours while crews worked to clear the scene.

This crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

Idaho State Police is investigating a semi crash eastbound State Highway 33 at milepost 13, just south of Howe. The roadway is currently blocked in both directions. More information will be given as it is available.
