Original release:

On Thursday, October 1, 2015, at 6:45 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle, injury crash on Highway 46 at milepost 110, south of Gooding.

Eric Bolich, 46, of Jerome, was riding a 2002 Honda motorcycle southbound on Highway 46 when a 2004 Dodge pickup driven by Mathew Hamilton, 24, of New Zealand, failed to stop at the stop sign, pulling in front of Bolich. Bolich stopped and the motorcycle was hit from behind by a 2013 Dodge Avenger driven by Kelly Bolich, 24, of Jerome.

Eric Bolich was wearing his helmet and was transported via ground ambulance to North Canyon Medical Center in Gooding. Kelly Bolich was wearing his seatbelt and was not transported.

The southbound lanes were blocked for approximately an hour and fifteen minutes while crews worked to clear the scene.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
