***Final Update***
On Saturday, August 1, 2015 at approximately 7:34 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle injury crash on Interstate 15 at milepost 36.6, near Virginia. Tam S. Jacobs, 23, of San Francisco, California, was southbound in a 2003 Toyota pickup. Jacobs was attempting to pass a vehicle and lost control of the pickup. The pickup went off the left shoulder. Jacobs overcorrected, came back into the lanes, and drove off the right shoulder. Jacobs overcorrected again, drove back onto the roadway, where her vehicle rolled, coming to rest in the left lane of travel.
Jacobs was taken by air ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello. Jacobs was wearing her seatbelt. The lanes of travel were blocked for one and a half hours while troopers investigated the crash.
