On Monday, May 12th, at approximately 9:00 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a single-vehicle crash eastbound I84 at milepost 161, east of Wendell.

Ralph A. Lepore, 23, of Boise, was travelling westbound on I84 in a 2000 GMC Sierra, when he went off the road into the median. Lepore overcorrected the vehicle back into the lane of travel, overcorrected again, went through the median, where the vehicle rolled. The vehicle landed in the eastbound lanes of traffic.

Lepore was wearing his seatbelt. He was transported by ground ambulance to Saint Lukes Magic Valley Regional Medical Center.

Both eastbound lanes of travel were blocked for approximately two hours.

This crash is currently under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

The Idaho State Police is currently investigating a one-vehicle crash eastbound Interstate 84 at milepost 161, just east of Wendell.

Both eastbound lanes on I84 are blocked at this time. Motorists are encouraged to avoid this area if possible. More information will be released when it becomes available.
