INCIDENT NARRATIVE: Campbell was driving his 1993 Kenworth Tractor westbound on US12 at milepost 125.8 when he drove off the right shoulder of the road. The vehicle struck a rock outcropping, tearing off the right fuel tank from the truck and rupturing the tank, spilling approximately 80 to 100 gallons of diesel fuel. The vehicle rolled onto its left side, coming to rest in the eastbound lane. The eastbound lane was blocking for approximately 5.5 hours. Clean up of the diesel spill with continue into tomorrow.
