Update - Two-Vehicle Crash Near Blackfoot

*****Update*****

On January 21, 2014, at approximately 6:55 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle crash near Blackfoot. Patricia Murillo, age 39 of Idaho Falls, was traveling in a 1999 Honda Accord. Rubylee Walker, age 71 of Pingree, was traveling in a 2002 Dodge pickup. Murillo was traveling east on U.S. Highway 26 and was turning north onto the Interstate 15 onramp. Walker was traveling west on U.S. Highway 26 and was continuing westbound when she struck Murillo's vehicle. A juvenile passenger in Murillo's vehicle was transported by ground ambulance to the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.

The right lane of westbound U.S. Highway 26 was blocked for approximately one and a half hours. All occupants of both vehicles were wearing their seatbelts. The juvenile was not properly secured in a child safety seat. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

At this time, the Idaho State Police is investigating a two-vehicle crash on the onramp of Interstate 15 at milepost 93, near Blackfoot. The right lane of U.S. Highway 26 is currently blocked. More information will be released as it becomes available.
