On Thursday, December 19th, 2013, at approximately 6:17 A.M., Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash westbound I86 at milepost 1, near the I84 and I86 split.

Kenneth Parks, 27, of Twin Falls, ID, was driving west on I86 in a 1994 Chevrolet Suburban. Parks swerved to avoid a deer and lost control of the vehicle. The Suburban rolled and came to rest upright in the left lane of travel.

Steven Spencer, 47, of Jerome, ID, was driving a 2008 commercial vehicle hauling three trailers. Spencer was able to avoid a direct collision with Parks' vehicle but did make some contact. Spencer was able to make a controlled stop on the right shoulder of the road.

Arthur Cox, 59, of Meridian, ID, was driving in a 2006 Chevrolet pick-up. Cox collided with Parks' vehicle in the left lane of travel. Cox came to rest facing the wrong way in the right lane of travel.

Jeff Adger, 60, of Boise, ID, was driving a 2013 Peterbilt semi hauling one trailer. Adger collided head on with Cox's pick-up. Adger was able to come to a stop on the right shoulder. Cox's vehicle was pushed (by the collision) into a nearby fence.

Kenneth Parks and Arthur Cox were transported by ground ambulance to Cassia Regional Medical Center.

All drivers were wearing seat belts.

The westbound lanes of travel were blocked for approximately three hours.
