Request for Public’s Help in Investigation of Motorist Killed Along I-84 on Saturday

MERIDIAN – Idaho State Police are seeking information from motorists who were traveling along I-84 on Saturday, August 31st between 8:00 and 8:15 p.m. near Glenn’s Ferry.  It was during that time frame that Jason Richmond, 32, of Midvale, Utah, was killed by a passing semi-truck as he was standing outside his 2012 Jeep Patriot assisting a tow truck operator in removing his vehicle from the interstate.  The 2007 Volvo semi-truck that struck Richmond was pulling a 2011 Great Dane trailer and was driven by Volodymyr Boyko, 57, of Portland, Oregon. 

Idaho State Police believe motorists who were in the area may be able to help answer questions that have arisen in the investigation.  If you witnessed the incident or saw the vehicles involved in the minutes prior, you are asked to call Sgt.
