The Idaho State Police and Bingham County are investigating several slide off's and crashes near the Blackfoot Rest Area.
Motorists are encouraged to use extra caution when driving due to icy roads and winter weather conditions.
Traffic is backed up in the area, and both southbound lanes are now open.
