At approximately 5:45 PM today, October 26, 2012, the Idaho State Police responded to and investigated a crash involving an overturned semi on US26 near milepost 390, just east of the Palisades Reservoir. Stanley Defriez, 48, of Heber City, UT was traveling eastbound on US26 in a 2012 Peterbuilt semi pulling a trailer loaded with wood beams. As Defriez went around a corner, the load shifted, causing the tractor and trailer to overturn.

Traffic was diverted around the crash scene onto the westbound lanes and is still being alternated at this time until the semi is removed. An update will be provided when both lanes are clear. No one was injured in the crash. The Idaho State Police was assisted at the scene by Bonneville County Sheriff's Office, Swan Valley Medical Personnel, and the Idaho Transportation Department. The crash is still under investigation.
