*****Final Update******

Lanes of travel are clear following the crash, westbound I84 at milepost 105.5. Thomas Stewart, age 55, of Boerne, Texas, was driving the rear pilot car for an oversized load. The pilot car was equipped with rotating emergency lights, flags, and an oversized load sign. Rex Hill, age 66, of Paul, Idaho, was driving west on I84 at milepost 125, in a 2002 commercial vehicle pulling a Trinity trailer. Hill failed to notice Stewart's pilot vehicle driving slowly, and struck Stewart from behind, causing Stewart's vehicle to go off the north shoulder of the roadway and overturn. The fuel tank on Hill's vehicle ruptured, spilling diesel fuel for approximately 150 feet. Hill's vehicle jackknifed in the median where the remaining fuel continued to spill.

Interstate 84 was closed for approximately one hour and forty minutes.

Hill and Stewart were treated at the scene of the crash and released. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.

Hill was cited for careless driving.

This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
