On June 21, 2012 at approximately 7:15pm, Idaho State Police responded to a call that a person was laying on the ground outside of a motor home near exit 69 in Pocatello. At the scene it was determined that a white 1994 Jayco motor home, being driven by David Blomquist, 55, of Bellevue, was heading southbound on I15, when for unknown reasons, his passenger, Charlene Blomquist, 52, also of Bellevue, attempted to exit the motor home while in motion.

David noticed her reaching for the door and slowed the motor home down as Charlene jumped out of the vehicle. David immediately pulled the motor home over to the side of the highway following her exit. Charlene was transported shortly thereafter to Portneuf Medical Center with serious injuries. The Idaho State Police was assisted at the scene by Pocatello EMS and Fish and Game. The incident is still under investigation.
